Patty’s Biography
Patty is an accomplished artist in a variety of
media and styles. Equally comfortable with watercolor or acrylic
and oils, she creates painting, murals, and faux effects.
Having won awards for her exhibited art, including
Best of Show, she presents workshops for artists of all intent.
She has provided art enrichment programs for public schools and
educators, integrating art with instructional themes.
She
is the past president of the Oxnard Art Association and was active
in the California Gold Coast Watercolor Society.She has been involved
with the Buenaventura Art Association and the Malibu Lagoon Museum.
She has also been a demonstration artist for the Pacific Palisades
Art Association.
Her pieces are charged with large brushstrokes,
multiplicity of color and risky wet in wet techniques. “I
feel the paintbrush in my hands and hit the paper with bold and
rhythmic strokes,” says Patty, describing the style of her
work.
“Always trying to capture form and light and
dark awareness, my style is influenced by the Impressionists.
Linear passages connecting my images unite my pieces in painterly
rhythmic composition.”
