Patty’s Biography

Patty is an accomplished artist in a variety of media and styles. Equally comfortable with watercolor or acrylic and oils, she creates painting, murals, and faux effects.

Having won awards for her exhibited art, including Best of Show, she presents workshops for artists of all intent. She has provided art enrichment programs for public schools and educators, integrating art with instructional themes.

She is the past president of the Oxnard Art Association and was active in the California Gold Coast Watercolor Society. She has been involved with the Buenaventura Art Association and the Malibu Lagoon Museum. She has also been a demonstration artist for the Pacific Palisades Art Association.

Her pieces are charged with large brushstrokes, multiplicity of color and risky wet in wet techniques. “I feel the paintbrush in my hands and hit the paper with bold and rhythmic strokes,” says Patty, describing the style of her work.

“Always trying to capture form and light and dark awareness, my style is influenced by the Impressionists. Linear passages connecting my images unite my pieces in painterly rhythmic composition.”
